Zilm,
N.K. [B.Sc. (Multidisciplinary)] - Natarsha joined the Agency in 1996 having recently
completed her studies at Curtin University of Technology Western Australia, where she
studied Environmental Biology specialising in aquatic science. In her final year of study,
she assisted in the reconstruction of viable wetlands by researching macroalgae as a major
habitat for aquatic invertebrates. This project involved extensive field work at the RGC
Wetlands at Capel Western Australia. As a result Natarsha has experience with aquatic
invertebrate identification and distribution analysis. Before employment at Agriculture
Western Australia she was employed at Curtin University as an Associate Lecturer teaching
plant biology.
Natarsha is currently working in the Insect Reference Collection where she maintains, catalogues and digitally photographs/scans the specimens. She works on the Insect Collection Database (ICDB), refining data entry and compiling help instructions for its future use. Natarsha has also aided in field work for various Agency projects. She is an active member of the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
